During your appointment we will carry out a 15 min non-invasive PNOĒ Active Metabolic Rate (AMR) breath test at one of our VELLIO Clinics. Following your appointment we will create your individual metabolic health profile and you will receive a detailed report. Metabolic analysis with our expert consultants are offered online and we can create training and nutrition programmes personalised to your biology.

VO2 Peak Report & Consultation
60 min in clinic appointment. Follow up online consultation with a professional metabolic expert to discuss your results and analyse your cardiac and respiratory efficiency, fat-burning efficiency, metabolic flexibility, recovery capacity and other report biomarkers related to your performance.
Consultations will also involve analysis of your individual heart rate training zones and make recommendations on how to improve performance limitations and optimise your nutrition, exercise and health.

For athletes or active individuals looking to identify performance-limiting factors and seeking guidance on the specific training needed to improve results in their sport or activity.
Along with a tailored training plan, testing also provides individualised nutrition recommendations to ensure that the body is properly fuelled for optimal performance.

Active Metabolic Rate (AMR) Test:
The test involves wearing a PNOĒ device and a breathing mask that comfortably fits over your nose and mouth.
Test is carried out on a stationary bike. 9-15 minute Active Metabolic Rate - AMR comprising a 3-minute warm-up, a 4–10 minute exercise phase where intensity is progressively increased every minute depending on your fitness level followed by a 2-minute active recovery.
This test will offer a review of results and breath-by-breath analysis of how efficiently your body absorbs oxygen during exercise.

Before your AMR test, please note the following important guidelines:
Fast except from plain water for at least 3 hours prior to testing.
No caffeine, tobacco or stimulating drinks for at least 3 hours prior to testing.
Avoid intense exercise or any exercise of more than 1 hour 24h prior to testing.
The test can be conducted any time of the day, however the retest should be conducted the same time of the day as the initial assessment.
Continue medications as usual.
Arrive at least 15 min prior to the test so you can be relaxed before the test.
Failure to follow these guidelines may lead to inaccurate results.
Sports shoes and exercise attire is required for the test.
